Commission

How We’re Paid

Max Power and Gas Ltd is compensated by the business energy suppliers on our panel for introducing customers to their electricity, gas, and related services.

We receive our commission directly from the supplier — you will never be asked to pay us directly for using our services.

Our commission covers the cost of providing our full service offering, including competitive rate sourcing, market comparisons, switch management, processing, sales support, customer service, and ongoing account management. This allows us to deliver strong customer outcomes while continuing to provide competitive energy solutions for UK businesses.

By choosing to use our services, you agree that Max Power and Gas Ltd may receive a commission from suppliers for arranging your power or gas contract.

Commission Structure

Our commission is included within your agreed energy tariff as part of the overall cost of energy consumption. This is built into the contract you agree with the selected supplier.

The commission amount is determined by Max Power and Gas Ltd and may vary depending on the contract and supplier. In most cases, our commission represents a small percentage of the total contract value and is typically below a unit rate of 2p per kWh.

As commissions are based on estimated future usage, all figures are indicative. For example, if a supplier offers a base rate of 21.03p per kWh for electricity or gas, we may apply a commission of 1.5p per kWh. This would result in a total tariff of 22.53p per kWh shown on your supplier statement.

All payments are made directly to the energy supplier, who then pays our commission separately. Commission payment terms and durations vary between suppliers and may be subject to change.

In some cases, contractors installing new meters may opt to pay a fixed contract fee instead of a usage-based commission.
